Elective suggestions?
At the end of year 1, we have a 4wk elective period where we as Yr 1 medical students have to go somewhere to learn under a doctor. The thing is at the end of yr 1, we are supposedly still a clueless bunch of idiots whom no one, not even myself, will trust their lives with! hahaa...so the whole point in this elective? I HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE!!!
But anyway, its a good opportunity to take some time off and go visit some countries since med sch is gonna kill all of us later on rite? I was tinking of going to more rural/0-lu places like Nepal n India even though my mum's not too keen abt the idea. She prefers that I go back to singapore to spend time wif the family n also learn the Singapore medical system. But honestly la, if I do intend to go back to Singapore to practise then I'll have all the time in the world to integrade myself to the system rite?
So, any suggestions on where to go? :P

depends if u wanna take ur mum's practical advise and come back to sg. u'll get to noe how things work over here n spend time w ppl u noe.
or u can take it as an opportunity to explore and have fun in a new country.
hee...
dude you gotta think about the language and the culture of the country you visit tho? cos its not like a week? its like 4 weeks? i dont think you should go for nepal nor india. singapore might be good becos they have good health system. but you can also go for some european countries? and think about the different diseases that you will get exposed to (in terms of learning). like diseases in asian countries are so different from australia's.
