First trip to PA

Today, a senior brought us on his own accord to PA hospital. The aim was to bring us there to show us how to approach the nurses to ask them to help us find patients to interview and practice taking history. It has been recommended by the School of Medicine that we do that on our own time to practice. And basically, I realised that a lot of the medical stuff are self-learning. So we managed to listen to a patient's heart, see a huge hernia and observed some of the things that we were taught in clinical coaching the other day. And boy oh boy were we so excited to heart the differences in a normal heart sound from his! hahaa....

Anyway, its just nice to see how the things we are learning is applied in the real life cos without this experience, we would all still think that percussing for a liver is down-right stupid. Thank god for my senior who was so kind to take us under his wings even though it was his holiday this week! I feel so blessed now. :P
